The Company Man game - Lobby Level Design Art

Here are some concepts for the Lobby scene in the Company Man Game.
After finishing every level, you will go come back to the lobby for a story update or to purchase power-ups at the cafe area.

I have added some concepts for Jim, the main character, and the Keyboard sword. It was interesting working on these because we wanted to keep the realism of the weapon so if you were to take parts of the keyboard and other office props to build it. It could be turned into a gun as well but I will show more of those in the future.

For the lobby scene, I went through a couple of iterations before landing on the final look as seen in the in-game video.
This was the first level that we tried designing the pathing for the platform being that this is our first 2D platform game and trying to understand the mechanics and the limits we can push.
In the end, we settle with a simple and straightforward pathing since at the other levels you will encounter heights and depths in the pathing. So pretty much like a break area for players.

One special thing to point out is that's me as the cafe girl. Drew in a little cameo moment :D
